LeBron James drops cryptic reaction as Travis Kelce and his old exchange on podcast collab resurfaces
On Tuesday, LA Lakers star LeBron James hinted at a possible appearance on the popular New Heights Show sports podcast hosted by the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis.
The four-time NBA champion reshared a post by the Instagram page of New Heights and added six "eye" emojis:
"👀👀👀👀👀👀"
The New Heights Show posted screenshots of a previous banter between James and three-time Super Bowl champion Travis. The conversation happened in October 2023 on X.
James playfully said that he couldn't get an invite as he praised the sports podcast.
"@newheightsshow Crazy I can’t get a invite to join yall fantastic show! Is it because you guys are truly the Kings of NE Ohio, and I claim to be? Be honest! 🥴😁 😁😁. Seriously you guys are AWESOME!!," James wrote on X.
New Heights is a podcast hosted by the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, who were both born and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, not far from James' hometown, Akron, Ohio.
Travis replied to James on X and said that the show would be honored to have "Northeast Ohio's finest."
"The 👑!! Appreciate ya Bron. We’d be honored to have you bless the show! It’s only right to get Northeast Ohio’s finest on and talk some ball baby! 😎😎 Let’s make it happen!!," Travis Kelce replied.

LeBron James shares thoughts on playoff run
In LeBron James' Tuesday appearance on the GoJo and Golic show, the 20-time NBA All-Star shared the LA Lakers' identity this season and his thoughts on their potential playoff run.
"I think our identity, one defensively, we want to bring physicality to the game. Make teams try to do something they do not like to do. Then offensively, we want to share the ball. We're very good when we're up in the high 20s in assists and low turnovers. When we do that, we're a pretty good team," James said (2:38).
He also acknowledged the Lakers' struggles this season, wherein they lost games they were supposed to win, but James remains optimistic about a deep playoff run.
"I feel like we have so much more room to improve. We're not the team I believe we're gonna be once February or March hit. But I do like our chances and we gotta continue to put the work in and that's all that matters," he added (3:12).
The Lakers (20-17) are in a competitive Western Conference and have lost three straight games and split their previous 10. They will look to return to winning ways when they host the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
