LeBron James drops emoji-filled response to iconic tribute poster of him with Steph Curry and Kevin Durant
LeBron James had an emoji-filled response to an iconic tribute poster featuring his Team USA Olympics teammates Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. The 4x NBA champion took to X (formerly Twitter) to post the picture of the fanmade artwork of the three stars sitting side-by-side showcasing their gold medals they won in Paris a couple of days ago.
The picture shows the three NBA champions in their Team USA white jerseys, chatting away in front of the Eiffel Tower while the sun is setting. Adding more grandeur to the image was the US Flag and the Olympic medals. James had an epic response to the artwork.
"This is too 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥"
The 2024 Olympics will go down as one of the greatest wins for Team USA's men's and women's basketball. The marquee tournament also became the stage for three of the world's greatest ball players to team up for one final national duty assignment. While the NBA sees them linked during All-Star games, the Olympics undoubtedly makes it a more incredible accomplishment with all three generational superstars playing at an elite level.
LeBron James says he can't see himself playing 2028 Olympics in LA
LeBron James indicated that the Paris Olympics would be his last and final appearance on the world stage. Speaking to the media after the gold medal win against France in the Final, the Olympic MVP said it would be unlikely he would don the stripes and stars for the 2028 edition in Los Angeles. He had a simple and crisp take.
"I can't see myself playing in L.A."
While James painted a very realistic picture, his Lakers teammate Anthony Davis hinted that he wanted to be part of the roster that would play in 2028. This was Davis' second Olympics, and he won his second medal on Saturday. Kevin Durant had a more open-ended answer, saying "We'll see" when asked about his thoughts on playing the next event.
The focus for LeBron James, and the two superstars now shifts to the NBA 2024-25 season. The Lakers will once again bank heavily on James and Davis to lead the side to a successful campaign, hoping it ends with a title run. Curry will have a new-look Warriors sans Klay Thompson, while Durant is expected to lead the Suns to their maiden title alongside Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. It remains to be seen whether one of these three icons will end up winning the title by June 2025.
