LeBron James gifted Eliantte designed custom chain by NBA and LA Lakers: All you need to know

LeBron James’ jewelry collection has to contain some of the most prized and sought-after items in NBA history. The league and the LA Lakers just added another glittering piece that marked yet another historic achievement.

"King James" dethroned Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the all-time scoring champ on February 7 against the OKC Thunder. The league and the team he is playing for gifted him with a customized gold chain designed by no less than Eliantte.

LeBron James was gifted a custom chain designed by Elliante from the NBA & Lakers for becoming the All-Time Scoring Leader👑🔥 twitter.com/i/web/status/1… https://t.co/tg7DeEkErO

The incredible gift was filled with details. Engraved at the top of the box was the official title, "All-time scoring leader." Flip the top open and "The Kid from Akron" slogan greets the onlooker.

The pendant is a massive lion's head with a crown on top of it. LeBron James' numbers 23 and 6 are also brightly and prominently displayed.

The back of the pendant tells of his 20-year NBA journey. It starts with the teams he has played for - the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and LA Lakers.

Eliantte engraved the words and the accomplishment:

"LeBron James Record: 38,388 and counting"

The new gold chain will be added to his collection that includes, four championships, four NBA Finals MVPs and four regular-season MVP awards. James is also a member of the 75th anniversary team and also got another gold-studded ring for that honor.

The jewelry he may be desperately looking to add could come if at least the LA Lakers make the playoffs. James has always insisted that he's playing basketball to win championships. LA still has a ton left to do if they want to add banner #18 and hand James another brilliant piece of hardware to show off.

The 19x NBA All-Star last played on February 26 in a 111-108 win over the Dallas Mavericks. He scored 26 points in 37 minutes, hitting 10-23 of his field-goal attempts, including 1-6 from behind the art. James also made 5-7 free throws.

The LA Lakers superstar now has 38,450 career points. "The Kid from Akron" will be unable to add to that tally for at least another three weeks as he is sidelined due to a right foot injury.

LeBron James should easily breach the 40K-point barrier in the NBA

Only two players in NBA history have reached at least 38,000 points. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James are the only names on that exclusive list.

"King James," with the way he has been playing, should be a cinch to break the 40,000-point barrier. Provided he's healthy, he should be a cinch to fly past that previously unthinkable mark.

James is just 1,550 points off that mind-boggling number. In 47 games this season, he has already ammassed 1,388 points. He had 1,695 last year in 56 games.

It's safe to say that if he can play 50 games next season, he may become the first member of the 40K points club.
