LeBron James lauds son Bronny James' effort as Sierra Canyon reaches semis Les Schwab invitational tournament
Bronny James, LeBron James' son, is one of the best young basketball players in the world. The 18-year-old has had some fantastic performances and has led his Sierra Canyon high school team to the semifinals at the Les Schwab invitational tournament.
Like his dad two decades ago, Bronny is having a lot of success in high school. While he's far from being the best player in his class, the 6-foot-3 guard continues to improve and could one day become a star in the NBA.
Thanks to his impressive performances at the tournament, Bronny was selected to the All-Tournament team. His father, who has closely followed his performances, congratulated him on Instagram.
LeBron James congratulates Bronny on his success
Bronny James started off the Les Schwab invitational tournament with two amazing performances. In the first two games of the tournament, the young star averaged 20.5 points on 76.2% shooting.
LeBron's son was also 9-for-11 from the 3-point range and had zero turnovers. Led by him, the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers advanced all the way to the semifinals. Unfortunately, they couldn't go any further.
Bronny James and Sierra Canyon were eliminated by West Linn in the semifinals of the Les Schwab invitational tournament. Unfortunately, LeBron's son had an underwhelming performance with 10 points on 3-for-10 shooting.

West Linn prevailed 86-69, led by Adrian Mosley and Jackson Shelstad, who combined for 66 points and 18 rebounds.
In their last game of the tournament, the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers faced off against Bishop Gorman. In this game for the third spot in the tournament, Bronny scored 10 points, along with seven rebounds, three assists, and a block.
James' team won the game 81-66, finishing in the third spot. Bronny James, who was selected to the All-Tournament team, averaged 15.3 points on 59% shooting and 60% shooting from long range.
Will Bronny play with his father in NBA?
LeBron James may end up playing with his son in the NBA. While Bronny will be eligible for the 2024 NBA draft, his father hasn't shown any signs of slowing down and is still dominating the league.

LeBron, who recently turned 38, has three more years left on his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, he has a Player Option for the 2024-25 season, which will be Bronny's first season in the NBA.
Thanks to his flexible contract, the four-time NBA champion will be able to opt out of it when his son enters the league. Due to this, the two will be able to team up and become the only father-son duo in the league's history.
