LeBron James makes his feelings crystal clear on Anthony Davis relationship after Shams Charania's wild report

Lakers star LeBron James has made his feelings crystal clear about his relationship with Anthony Davis. This came after he was accused by an NBA insider of having a "frustrating relationship" with Davis.

CBS Sports insider Bill Reiter's report was met with LeBron James's review on X (formerly Twitter), where he minced no words in making it clear that he had little to do with his former teammate's shock trade to the Dallas Mavericks.

Reiter's report was followed by premier insider Shams Charania on Sports Center where he delved into the inner machinations of the deal which was concluded in the shadows.

"This deal materialized in the shadows … LeBron James had no idea this was coming. Anthony Davis had no idea this was coming. I’m told Luka Doncic is still stunned about this trade.” - Shams Charania on ESPN

The surprise timing of the deal caught all of the stars off-guard and Charania revealed James and Davis' obliviousness of the matter.

According to ESPN insider Dave McMenamin, LeBron James only learned of the trade while he was having dinner with his family and had no inkling of it, even though this trade had been reportedly brewing for a few days. No one in the league seemed to have a clue about the inner workings of the deal between Nico Harrison and the Dallas Mavericks, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison talks about acquiring Anthony Davis

Over Saturday night and Sunday morning, the Nico Harrison has been transparent about his sudden move which has been met with derision from most corners. The former Nike executive exuded confidence in the eventual success of his decision.

As reported by the Dallas Morning News, Harrison's two-decade old relationship with Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka was useful in this deal reaching fruition.

Pelinka first considered the offer as a joke by Harrison when talks began about a month ago, but quickly warmed up to the possibility of landing Luka Doncic, a perennial MVP contender and a proven playoff performer.

With Davis, Dallas has a shot at being a defensive juggernaut with the ability to roll out three-big lineups with a supporting cast of Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively II and P.J. Washington behind AD.

When questioned about his interaction with Luka Doncic since the trade, Harrison delivered a characteristically blunt response:

"My guess is he probably doesn't want to talk to me"
