LeBron James' mom Gloria has inspiring message for grandson Bryce James' AAU squad: “Always made us proud”

LeBron James' second son Bryce is trying to follow in his brother's footsteps to make it to the NBA in a couple of years. While Bronny is already a pro player, set to share touches with his father on the LA Lakers, Bryce is still playing AAU basketball.

His grandmother, Gloria James, sent a strong message to Bryce and his AAU team Strive for Greatness, sharing her excitement to see their growth after making them proud in the Nike EYBL. She took to Instagram to write:

"@_teamstriveforgreatness_ truly represented what #striveforgreatness 🚀 means to the fullest from day one. They always made us proud to support and cheer 📣 for them. State to state. City to city. I wish only to see them continue to work hard and chase greatness in their futures 🌟🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤."

Bryce James hasn't been given the same attention as his older brother, but there's no doubt he's working hard to emulate and surpass what Bronny has done so far. After a tumultuous season where he switched schools, he kept on track to make it to the association in a couple of years.

Bryce is making a notable impression on his team and his grandmother is present, hyping him up and the rest of the squad.

NBA analyst notes difference between LeBron James' sons Bronny and Bryce

Much has been said about Bronny and Bryce James and how similar or different they are. TSN analyst Stephen Noh touched on the comparisons, highlighting Bryce's potential ceiling. He writes that while Bryce is not the same athlete as Bronny, he has "better NBA size," noting his development and performance against top prospects including Cameron Boozer.

Noh did say he has some way to go in terms of creating shooting opportunities for both himself and his teammates and that Bronny is "the better NBA prospect." Noh summarized the situation:

"Bryce may have a higher ceiling if he can continue to develop his skills, but he has a ways to go in order to catch up."

LeBron James, one of the best players in NBA history, has already put one of his sons in the league. It's unclear if he will play with Bryce but the Bronny tandem is a reality.
