LeBron James opens up on his Presidential choice with contentious Donald Trump video: "The choice is clear to me"
LA Lakers superstar LeBron James is officially backing Kamala Harris' bid for the U.S. presidency, becoming the latest high-profile personality to endorse the current vice president. He did it by posting a controversial video against Republican candidate Donald Trump and his rhetoric against minorities and immigrants.
'The King' took to X (formerly Twitter) to make his choice for president known while sharing a 75-second video compilation of Trump and his supporters' history of looking down on minorities and migrants. He captioned it with telling words of support for Harris.
LeBron James wrote:
"What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!"

By showing support to Harris, LeBron James, who is the NBA's all-time leading scorer, joined Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, Eminem, Bruce Sprinsteen, Chris Rock, Steph Curry, Sue Bird and Samuel L. Jackson in doing so.
Democrat Harris is currently locked in a tight race with former U.S. President Trump for the elections set for Nov. 5. She stepped in for current President Joe Biden, who decided to withdraw from his re-election bid.
Kamala Harris had LeBron James and Team USA's backs in Paris Olympics
LeBron James has shown his support behind Kamala Harris. The vice president also took time to wish 'The King' and the rest of Team USA well ahead of their Paris Olympic bid earlier this year.
Harris flew to Las Vegas to check on Team USA's preparation and encouraged the squad to represent well and do their best for the country.
"'Bring back the gold,' she said. 'Truly, you all represent the best of the best. And being Team USA, it is about representing our nation. You are, as you are every day on and off the court, ambassadors for who we are as a country. You represent leaders in every walk of life. And for you to go to Paris and bring back that gold is just another example of excellence, your teamwork, your compassion and your commitment.'"
Team USA moved on to sweep its way to the gold medal, led by LeBron James, who was named the most valuable player after averaging 14.2 points, 10.2 assists and 8.2 rebounds.
The rest of the team included Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Joel Embiid, Bam Adebayo, Tyrese Haliburton, Jrue Holiday, and Derrick White.
