LeBron James puts up a hilarious post in Shannon Sharpe's support: "If "I Wish A Muthaf#k Would" was a person!"

LeBron James greatly appreciated Shannon Sharpe’s passion and loyalty, particularly after last night’s incident at halftime between the Memphis Grizzlies and LA Lakers. The four-time NBA MVP saw how the three-time Super Bowl winner was willing to engage several Memphis players and Tee Morant as a James fan.

A day after the near scuffle broke out, the Lakers superstar posted this on his Instagram account:

“If "I Wish A Muthaf#ck* Would" was a person! MOOD. Unk VIBES!”

A visibly upset Shannon Sharpe wanted all the smoke the Grizzlies and Papa Morant could offer. He was fuming, eyes glaring with malicious intent and veins bulging. It was an ominous look that had already become a meme.

Sharpe and LeBron James met after the end of the game, with the Hall of Fame tight end likely telling his side of the story. The former Denver Broncos tight end has already revealed to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin the details of the incident prior to this conversation with James.

“They didn’t want this smoke, Dave. They do all the talking and jockeying and I ain’t about that jockeying. It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too small to guard LeBron [James]. He said, ‘F**k’ me. I said, ‘F**k you,’ back. He started to come at me and I said, ‘You don’t want these problems.’

He added:

“And then Ja [Morant] came out of nowhere talking. He definitely didn’t want these problems. Then the dad came and he obviously didn’t want no problems. But I wanted anything they had. Don’t let these fools fool you now.”

Shannon Sharpe spent halftime in the tunnel with security before returning to his seat for the third quarter. He granted ESPN a brief interview explaining what happened with the Grizzlies on his way to his seat: https://t.co/XZNw6sQhEG

Shannon Sharpe was dripping with menace the entire time, even when he was confronted by reputedly the NBA’s strongest man Steven Adams. The current Fox Sports analyst didn’t back down and had to be held back by security.

Unlike LeBron James, Dillon Brooks was unimpressed by Shannon Sharpe

Dillon Brooks wasn't as impressed as LeBron James was with Shannon Sharpe.

As appreciative and impressed as LeBron James was by Shannon Sharpe, Dillon Brooks had the opposite reaction. Here’s what the controversial Memphis Grizzlies forward had to say about one of James’ most avid supporters:

“A regular pedestrian like him? No. He shouldn’t have ever came back in the game. But it’s LA.”

Dillon Brooks really called Shannon Sharpe—a Hall of Famer—a 'pedestrian' 😱

Brooks took exception when Sharpe told him that he was too small to guard the four-time NBA champ. As James’ primary defender, Brooks had a decent job containing the soon-to-be 19x All-Star. He helped hold the Lakers superstar to 8-21 shooting from the field, including 1-5 from behind the arc.

Here’s Dillon Brooks on what he did to put the cuffs on LeBron James:

“He doesn’t want to go left. I was just making him go left all game. Then he would settle or he would pass the ball. And then play physical with him. Continuously bump him all of the time. And don’t let him take easy shots.”

Shannon Sharpe saw all this and probably just wanted to play mind games with Brooks.

LeBron James looked gassed as early as the third quarter as he has been playing for roughly 37 MPG since turning 38. Last night, Brooks' strategy worked. It’ll be interesting to see how their matchup plays out the next time they meet.
