LeBron James reacts in awe as Freddie Freeman continues to make history, Dodgers look to win 8th World Series

LeBron James just watched LA Dodgers star Freddie Freeman make history in Game 4 of the World Series. The former Atlanta Braves slugger belted a home run against New York Yankees pitcher Luis Gil’s slider in the first inning. Freeman has now homered in six straight World Series games, an MLB record.

“King James” reacted to Freeman’s feat with a message on X, formerly Twitter:

“FREDDY FREEMAN WE ARE NOT WORTHY!!!!!”

Freeman has homered in the first four games for the Dodgers against the Yankees in the 2024 World Series. No other player in MLB history has accomplished that before him.

In 2021, when he was still with the Braves, Freddie Freeman also batted the ball to the fans’ stands in Games 5 and 6 against the Houston Astros. His homer in Game 6 lifted the Braves to their first World Series win since 1995.

Freddie Freeman's shot went 343 feet, allowing Mookie Betts to open the scoring. LA opened the game with a 2-0 lead before the Yankees took the driver's seat with back-to-back homers by Alex Verdugo and Anthony Volpe. New York had a 5-3 edge after three innings.

Freeman is arguably the biggest reason the LA Dodgers are up 3-0 in the series. He is the heavy favorite to become the MVP if the Dodgers win Game 4.

LeBron James has followed the LA Dodgers' journey to the World Series

LeBron James is a known NFL fanatic. But with the LA Dodgers making noise in the MLB playoffs, the four-time MVP kept track of their postseason exploits. He knew when the Dodgers booked a ticket to the National League Championship Series (NLCS). James posted this on X following LA's win over their rivals, the San Diego Padres:

"Congrats @Dodgers on Advancing to NLCS!!!!"

Freddie Freeman, Shoehei Ohtani and Mookie Betts led the Dodgers to the 2024 World Series by winning the NLCS. They took down the New York Mets 4-2 to earn a date with the New York Yankees.

With the Dodgers a win away from their 8th championship, LeBron James is keeping track of the score. Freeman's big night continued in the fifth inning with a single and an RBI but the Yankees continued to lead 6-4 in the middle of the eighth.
