LeBron James can't wait for 'Sinners' as Michael B. Jordan reunites with ‘Black Panther’ director
While LeBron James' focus is on the NBA season ahead, the four-time NBA champ and future Hall of Famer took note of a trailer for a new movie starring Michael B. Jordan. The film "Sinners" will see Jordan reunite with director Ryan Coogler, who was the director of "Black Panther" in 2018. In addition, the two have also worked together on several other projects in the past.
The pair first worked together in 2013 on "Fruitvale Station," before then working together on "Creed," the boxing movie starring Jordan and Sylvester Stallone that followed the Rocky series.
The film, which is a horror movie, is set to release on Mar. 7, 2025. In the movie, Michael B. Jordan and his on-screen twin brother both return to their hometown; however, they uncover a horror plot that will have viewers on the edge of their seats.
In response to the trailer, which released on Tuesday, LeBron James took to his Instagram story to react, writing:
"Can't wait!!"
Looking back at when Michael B. Jordan named LeBron James the greatest athlete of all time
There seems to be quite a bit of mutual respect between LeBron James and Michael B. Jordan. Over the years, Jordan has appeared courtside at several NBA games.
Of course, given that, it's no surprise that back in 2023, during a pre-release interview for "Creed 3," Jordan was asked about the GOAT debate. As he explained immediately after being asked the question, there are a ton of different factors at play when it comes to the debate regarding the greatest of all time.
"This is a no win. These are all no win situations. ... Imma say LeBron James. I said it. Been greater for longer. I'm just saying I'm not comparing it to nobody. That's what I'm saying, I'm not comparing it to nobody ... who could have played multiple sports. He could have gone pro," Michael B. Jordan said.
In the case of Michael Jordan, his two-way play that saw him win a Defensive Player of the Year award and 10 scoring titles along with his six NBA championships gives him the edge in the eyes of many fans. On the flip side, others believe that LeBron's longevity and playmaking abilities give him the edge.
