LeBron James' wife Savannah James beams with pride as she drops four-word reaction to son Bronny James' NBA debut
Bronny James made his much-awaited NBA debut on Tuesday night when the LA Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 110-103, at Crypto.com Arena. After having ups and downs in the Summer League and the NBA preseason, James finally made history and became the first player to play alongside his father in the NBA.
Once the game was over, Savannah James took to Instagram stories to share a couple of snaps to hype up her first kid as he embarked on the most important part of his career. She shared a four-word message to celebrate Bronny's new beginning.
"Where history begins HIStory 🫶🏼💕," Savannah captioned the post.
She shared more pictures of the family, including one with the other two members of the clan, Bryce Maximus and Zhuri.
After several years of waiting for this moment, fans saw Bronny James becoming an NBA player alongside his father. The player attended Sierra Canyon before committing to USC, where he played for one season.
He was linked with the Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz before the 2024 NBA Draft before the Lakers took him with the No. 55 overall pick.
Bronny played only three minutes on Tuesday, grabbing only one rebound. He went scoreless and became a target for Anthony Edwards, who attacked him whenever he had the ball.
LeBron James shared message after Bronny James' NBA debut
Savannah wasn't the only one hyping up Bronny James on social media. LeBron James also shared some words for his firstborn, saying that not even Hollywood could write a better story for him and his son. The 39-year-old celebrated after making history with a post on Instagram.
"Hollywood couldn’t write a better script so we helped them write it and brought it to them. HISTORY WAS MADE! #JamesGang👑," James captioned the post.
LeBron had a decent night, scoring 16 points, grabbing five rebounds, and dishing out four assists. Anthony Davis carried the Lakers with 36 points and 16 rebounds to go along with four assists. The Purple and Gold have renewed hopes after signing JJ Redick as their head coach. Rui Hachimura added 18 points and five rebounds, too.
This season could be promising for the Lakers if things fall into place. They struggled in preseason but the regular season is a different story. This is only the beginning and anything can happen, but beating the No. 2 seed in the West last season is a promising sign for the 17-time NBA champions.
