Bronny James was on fire in Thursday evening's G-League game with the South Bay Lakers. His mom Savannah James shared a post from SportsCenter about Bronny's exploits on her Instagram Story.
However, she kept it low-key, sharing the post with her 2.5 million followers on Instagram without a caption or emojis.
Bronny James, a second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft out of USC Trojans has naturally been receiving attention unusual for a second-round pick. Although his start to life with the LA Lakers has been slow, he has appeared to improve in the South Bay Lakers' last two games.
Against the Valley Suns, his first road game for the G-League affiliate, he hit a career-high 30 points alongside 3 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, on 57% shooting. This performance came off the back of his previous career-high of 16 points against the San Diego Clippers. He averages 14 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in the G League.
Bronny James' alley-oop dunk goes viral in G-League game against Valley Suns
Bronny James was the best player in South Bay Lakers' 106-100 loss against the Valley Suns in Arizona on Thursday. While he notched a career-high 30 points, he went viral for an alley-hoop dunk during the first half after receiving a lob pass from Sir'Jabari Rice.

ESPN's Dave McMenamin noted that Bronny has begun to find "his rhythm" with the Lakers G-League affiliate. He led the team in the first half scoring 13 points in nine minutes of game play.
"Bronny James starting to find his rhythm in the G League. He just had back-to-back possessions where he caught an alley-oop dunk and then threw an alley-oop dunk. He has 10 pts on 4-for-5 shooting early in the 2nd Q against the Valley Suns," Dave McMenamin tweeted.
Bronny will still shuttle between the South Bay and the Lakers, where he has made seven NBA game appearances. Going by his performance last night, fans will be glad to see his confidence back.
