LeBron James' wife Savannah James offers her two cents on why marriage should not be rushed: "Recipe for disaster"
LeBron James' wife, Savannah James, celebrated her 38th birthday this week, and it seems like with more age, wisdom came. In this week's edition of the "Everybody's Crazy" podcast, Savannah talked about marriage, sharing her opinion on why people should not rush into a huge commitment, even if they feel they feel have reached their age limit.
"I don't think there's a limit, because I feel you should always be ready. I don't believe in rushing nobody into marriage.
"Marriage is a huge commitment, and if you're not ready, keep being a girlfriend and a boyfriend or lady and 'my man, my man.' I don't think you should rush into marriage at all. I think that's a recipe for disaster." [25:06]
Savannah first started dating LeBron James in the early 2000s, getting pregnant with Bronny James during LeBron's senior high school year. Over the years, the family got bigger, with Bryce Maximus and Zhuri being the youngest members of the James household.
She and the LA Lakers superstar tied the knot in 2013, a testament to what she declared on the podcast. Savannah and LeBron have been together for over two decades now, with three kids and no scandal, almost being a peculiarity when compared to other NBA couples.
Savannah James shared emotional moment about Bronny James' journey to the NBA
Her "Everybody's Crazy" podcast has helped Savannah James share more insights about her life, including Bronny James' cardiac incident with the USC Trojans. The 38-year-old podcast host has now witnessed her kid make it to the NBA alongside his father, which brought more joy and pride into her life.
"I had a moment yesterday, which wasn't crazy, it was just an emotional moment," Savannah said. "I watched my boy do something that is -- I'm just so proud. I'm so proud. I would say that's the craziest thing 'cause I didn't see it coming. It just hit me."
After seeing Bronny start a new chapter of his basketball journey, Savannah James accompanied her husband to France. In Paris, LeBron James took on the challenge to lead Team USA to the Olympic gold again.
The NBA couple took its time to return to the U.S., first visiting Cannes, Monaco and then watching LeBron's agent's fiancée Adele performing in Munich. The James family still has exciting experiences to live, as LeBron and Bronny will be teammates in the league next season.
