LeBron James' wife Savannah James shares election day message on IG
On Tuesday, November 5, LeBron James' wife Savannah James made a last-ditch plea for Americans to make their voices heard and vote on election day. She took to Instagram to highlight the importance of exercising one's right to vote.
In her Instagram stories, the 38-year-old mother of three shared a seemingly witty message from The Bee & The Fox on the value of voting. The message read:
"You may not f**k with politics but politics will f**k with you. Vote."
The elections unfolded on Tuesday and saw Republican candidate Donald Trump enjoying an early lead over his Democratic counterpart Kamala Harris in exit polls.
Trump, the 45th U.S. president who served from 2017 to 2021, was vying to be reelected to continue what he started during his first term. Harris, the current vice-president, for her part, stepped up to the plate after incumbent President Joe Biden withdrew from his reelection bid even after the primaries.
LeBron James rallies behind Kamala Harris' presidential bid
LA Lakers superstar LeBron James was among the high-profile sports personalities who have stood by the presidential bid of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
He, too, took to social media to make his choice known by posting a 75-second video on X against Republican candidate Donald Trump and his rhetoric against minorities and immigrants.
LeBron James captioned his post:
"What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!"

LeBron James had the opportunity to speak with Harris in the summer after the Vice-President visited them early in their Olympic preparation for Team USA in Las Vegas. Harris gave words of encouragement and support for the team to do well and bring home the gold.
Team USA did exactly that, sweeping its way to the gold medal, culminating in a 98-87 victory over host France in the championship game. LeBron James finished with 14 points, 10 assists, six rebounds, and two steals in the gold-clinching win, to solidify his standing as the tournament's most valuable player.
Also part of the team was Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry, who is also a Harris supporter.
