LeBron James' wife Savannah James shows wholesome support for son Bryce Maximus amid rough Peach Jam run

With LeBron James busy preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Savannah James was left caring for their two sons, Bronny and Bryce. Both have a big summer with Bronny playing in the Las Vegas Summer League and Bryce representing SFG at Nike's Peach Jam in Augusta, South Carolina.

In a post on her Instagram stories, Savannah shared an image of Bryce playing for SFG at Peach Jam. She added a trio of hearts for her second son, who is currently struggling in the first four games of the 2024 Nike Elite Youth Basketball League.

The 17-year-old is averaging 6.3 points and 3.0 rebounds, while shooting 33.3% from the field and 16.7% from beyond the arc. He also hasn't made an assist so far compared to four total turnovers.

It has been a rough Peach Jam tournament for Bryce James, who has played four of the first five games for SFG. Bryce missed their 98-67 win over Team Herro last Monday. SFG currently has a 3-2 record heading into their final game of the tournament on Friday against Boo Williams.

In his first game, LeBron James' second son had three points and two rebounds in 25 minutes. He followed it up with his best performance of the tournament, finishing with 12 points and two rebounds.

However, Bryce struggled in his last two games, going 4-for-17 from the field and 0-for-8 from beyond the arc. It has been a rough time for the 17-year-old swingman, but it's also part of growing up and improving his game. He needs to struggle before finding a way to get out of it and "strive for greatness."

One of the main headlines of the offseason is the LA Lakers drafting Bronny James with the No. 55 pick. LeBron James got his dream of playing with his son and it will likely happen next season. The Lakers even signed Bronny to a four-year, guaranteed deal and LeBron to a two-year, max contract.

But will LeBron wait for Bronny to be ready and play with him as well, possibly in the 2026-27 season? The Sierra Canyon senior doubts it since his father will be around 42 years old at the time he reaches the NBA if ever.

"I'm not gonna lie, that's OD. Nah, that's too much. No, good Lord. He's going to be 42," Bryce said.

That's not a shade from Bryce, but LeBron did hint about playing with his two sons in an interview with Sports Illustrated a couple of years ago. Nevertheless, the four-time champion has the resources and discipline to stay in shape at age 42.
