LeBron James’ younger son Bryce James likes IG montage hinting at Lakers' “LeBron-AD" era's end
Is the LeBron James and Anthony Davis era in Los Angeles over after this season? With the fate of the Lakers still uncertain, it's anyone's guess. However, Bryce James, the son of LeBron, recently liked a suggestive post on Instagram that appeared to hint at the potential end of the LeBron-AD era.
Overtime's Instagram page shared a collection of black-and-white photos featuring LeBron James and Davis. The montage included images of their championship win in the bubble and moments from their time together donning the Purple and Gold.
Although the post was captionless, it's intriguing that Bryce liked it.
LeBron James and the Lakers extended their season by defeating the Denver Nuggets in Game 3, ending their 11-game losing streak against the reigning champions.
However, despite the convincing victory, no team in NBA history has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit.
The LeBron-AD era in LA began in 2019, when the Lakers traded for the former Pelicans big man in exchange for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round picks. James signed with the Lakers the year before.
In the 210 regular-season games they've played together, Davis has averaged 24.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists, while James has averaged 25.6 points, 8.3 assists and 7.6 rebounds.
The pair won an NBA championship together in 2020 during the NBA bubble, which was held due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
They were unable to defend their title in 2021, exiting in the first round at the hands of the Phoenix Suns in a series in which they were doomed by injuries.
The Lakers did not qualify for the playoffs in 2022. Last year, they staged a late-season resurgence to make the playoffs and advance to the Western Conference Finals, where they were defeated by the Nuggets in a clean sweep.
LeBron James, Lakers extend series after defeating Nuggets in Game 3
LeBron James staved off elimination by guiding the Lakers to a 119-108 win in Game 3, scoring a team-leading 30 points on 14-of-23 shooting. In nearly 39 minutes on the court, James also added five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
His 30-point night helped the Lakers force a Game 5, avoiding a sweep and halting the Nuggets' 11-game winning streak against the Lakers.
Anthony Davis recorded a massive double-double of 25 points and 23 rebounds, along with six assists and a block in 41 minutes.
D'Angelo Russell, who was scoreless in Game 3, bounced back with 21 points, four assists, and four made 3-pointers.
Austin Reaves also played a crucial role in the Lakers' victory with 21 points and six assists.
The Lakers controlled the pace of the game and prevented the Nuggets from overcoming another double-digit deficit. They managed to withstand a triple-double performance from Nikola Jokic, who scored 33 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out 14 assists, as well as a 27-point, 11-rebound effort from Michael Porter Jr.
