LeBron James, Zach LaVine and other NBA stars congratulate Alex Caruso on engagement news
OKC Thunder guard Alex Caruso's fiancee Haleigh Broucher took to Instagram on Friday to share the news of their engagement. The IG post featured snaps of Caruso's beach proposal to Broucher along with a heartwarming caption.
"Forever kind of love 💛♾️" Broucher captioned the post.
Many NBA stars, including Caruso's former teammates LeBron James and Zach LaVine, celebrated the news as they congratulated the couple on the post's comment section.
"CONGRATULATIONS MY BROTHER!!!!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾" LeBron commented.
"Welcome to the club dawg!!!" LaVine said.
Haleigh Broucher is a former reality TV star from the CBS show Big Brother and also has her own YouTube channel. The couple first went public with their relationship in 2022 and have since often featured in each other's social media posts
Alex Caruso's fiancee has "many emotions" after Bulls traded guard to Thunder
Alex Caruso's engagement news comes just a few months after he was traded to the OKC Thunder by the Chicago Bulls. Following the news of Caruso's trade on June 20, Haleigh Broucher expressed her excitement for their new chapter.
"So many emotions at once. So proud of this man and so excited for this next journey #thunderup,” Broucher wrote on her Instagram story.
In a separate story, Broucher also shared an emotional farewell to the Bulls, as she recalled the couple's time in Chicago:
“I want to say how amazing the Bulls organization has been, how hard everyone works behind the scenes, and how grateful I am for all of the friends I’ve made along the way. I truly cherish each and every one of them and will miss them terribly. Excited for a new chapter and grateful for the old.”
The OKC Thunder traded Josh Giddey to acquire Alex Caruso. The former NBA champion is expected to add a veteran skillset to the young and talented Thunder roster that clinched the West's first seed last season.
Caruso is coming off his career's most efficient season, averaging 10.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.7 steals in the 71 regular-season games he played. He also shot 46.8% from the field, including 40.8% from beyond the arc as the Bulls failed to make the playoffs.
