"Lost my voice" - Carmelo Anthony's ex La La Anthony proudly shares story of cheering for 'MVP' son Kiyan Anthony
Carmelo Anthony's ex-wife, La La Anthony, expressed her support for their son, Kiyan, as he won the MVP award at the 2025 Hoophall Classic. The son of the former NBA star represented the Long Island Lutheran against the Arizona Compass Prep on Sunday.
The senior scored 17 points to lead his team to a 63-57 win. He went up against the twin sons of former NBA guard Eddie House, Kaden and Kalek. The two youngsters combined for 27 points and nine assists.
After the game, La La shared some Instagram stories showing off Kiyan's MVP award. The former MTV VJ said she lost her voice cheering for her son.
"I'm so proud of Kiyan, MVP of the game today," La La wrote.
"Proud mom!! Lost my voice screaming so loud," La La posted.
La La Anthony fully supports Kiyan's business
Aside from playing basketball and focusing on his journey to making it to the NBA, Kiyan has learned a few tricks from his parents. Even though he's still in high school, he's already started a clothing business. Called "One Way," the business has gradually gained momentum after its launch in February 2023.
On her IG stories the past week, La La promoted her son's business venture.

"Proud of you @kiyananthony."
"Out Now!!!!!!!!!!!!" La La wrote in the caption.
The brand's account has earned 18,000 followers on Instagram. The post that his mom shared garnered 1,400 likes.
