Luka Doncic's fiancee Anamaria Goltes expresses love for Mavericks star on WCF MVP win with Slovenian message
Luka Doncic’s incredible performance during Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals has led the Dallas Mavericks to the NBA Finals. Doncic's team will make their first finals appearance since 2011 and will take on the Boston Celtics for the championship.
On the occasion of his team's success, Doncic’s fiance, a Slovenian model and internet personality, Anamaria Goltes congratulated her partner on Instagram via a heartwarming post.
Anamaria Goltes posted a clip of her partner receiving the Western Conference Finals MVP trophy and followed it up with a message in Slovenian.
When translated into English, it said:
"Bravo my love! Your girls are proud of you to heaven"
Doncic took total control of proceedings against the Timberwolves and returned with 36 points and 10 rebounds. The Mavericks superstar ended up outsourcing Minnesota 21-20 in the first quarter alone and continued his onslaught until the end.
Doncic and his fiance have been together since 2016, and welcomed their first child, daughter Gabriela, in late 2023. Goltes effectively claimed that both she and Gabriela were proud of Luka Doncic's heroics for the Mavericks.
Luka Doncic stars as Dallas Mavericks dismantle Timberwolves in Game Four
Doncic seemingly came determined to Game 5 with his eyes on the 2024 NBA Finals. The Slovenian was on form from tip-off and scored 12 points in the first 153 seconds of the game. The five-time All-Star also had five assists and 10 rebounds to boot and went 14-22 from the field.
He seemed at his fluent best, scoring at will whenever he wanted, and had already led his team to a 16-point lead by the end of the first quarter. The Timberwolves on the other hand, once again relied on 22-year-old Anthony Edwards, who had 28 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
However, the Mavericks also saw Kyrie Irving add 36 points and had effectively blown away the Timberwolves in the first half itself, returning with a 29-point lead for the third quarter. Karl-Anthony Towns produced 28 points and 10 rebounds, but the Timberwolves struggled with their shooting across the board and needed a late barrage of threes just to get back in the reckoning.
However, led by their two superstars, the Mavericks had total control throughout the game to secure a 124-103 win. The 2024 NBA Finals will now tip off on Friday, June 7.
