Mark Cuban shares stats from Joe Biden administration amid Republicans’ debate on oil production
Minority Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has never been a person to shy away from speaking his mind in front of the world. He has a notable past of getting into heated debates with other high-profile figures in the business world, which includes the likes of billionaire Elon Musk.
Cuban has also been an avid opponent of the Republican party and their Presidential candidate Donald Trump. In his latest post on X, the Mavericks minority owner cited figures to counter the Republican Party's supporters' fear of the Democrats lowering oil and energy production.
He reposted the Kobeissi Letter's post that detailed the rise in oil production over the last four years.
Cuban accompanied three eye emojis alongside his repost and refrained from writing anything in the caption. The post itself relayed his message to his 8.8 million followers on the social media platform.
The Republicans have criticized former President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party for cracking down on the oil and gas producers and supporting climate change activists.
With the finalization of the Environmental Protection Act, these criticisms reached new heights as the Republicans expressed their fear of low oil production. However, Cuban reposted the data that directly contradicts the Republican Party's narrative.
Why is Mark Cuban against Donald Trump and the Republican Party?
Mark Cuban appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and revealed that he had considered supporting former President Trump at one point. However, when he got to know him better, he felt he couldn't stand behind him as a supporter.
He credited an incident involving his friend and Trump for his shift in intentions. The Mavericks minority owner accused Trump of stealing $4 million from his friend and settling the matter for $25 million in the court.
Moreover, he stated that his beliefs are different from the Republican candidate, criticizing Donald Trump as a person who puts forward his personal interests as a priority.
"He was unethical then, and he’s still unethical. You want somebody whose first inclination is not to do what’s in their own best personal interest. You can’t deny that’s Donald Trump," Mark Cuban said.
Since Joe Biden left the Presidential race, the Mavericks co-owner has decided to stand behind the current Democratic Presidential candidate and Vice-President Kamala Harris.
