Mark Cuban jokes about Democrats' 'weird' campaign to smear Donald Trump and JD Vance

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is getting in on the banter as the United States presidential race heats up with Kamala Harris taking over the Democratic nomination to oppose Donald Trump. Harris and her supporters have started a smear, calling the Republicans' campaign "weird."

Cuban has also enjoyed his share of banter with the anti-Trump rhetoric, jokingly claiming he started the joke.

"It's weird how they all got the same talking points on a memo at the same time. Who issued that memo and can get them all to obey?" the account @WallStreetSilv posted on X.
"I did," Cuban jokingly answered.

Democratic supporters have leaned into the "weird" political banter, with Donald Trump responding to the rhetoric. In an interview with Clay Travis, Trump clapped back at the smear:

"They're the weird ones. If you've ever seen her with the laugh and everything else, that's a weird deal going on there. They're the weird ones. Nodbody's ever called me weird. I'm a lot of things, but I'm not weird, I will tell you. J.D. is not at all. They are."

Mark Cuban in strong support of Kamala Harris, opposing Donald Trump

With the Harris campaign gaining traction against Donald Trump, Democratic supporter Mark Cuban has reportedly led venture groups supporting Harris and has joined tech investors backing the Harris campaign, according to Dallas Morning News.

Cuban's efforts in the campaign have garnered him attention as a potential Vice President candidate of Harris. Latest reports have indicated Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, while Cuban remains an outside candidate still receiving some attention.

Cuban joins LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman in the group of more than 100 investors backing the Harris campaign. Harris won enough votes from the Democratic delegates to win the Democratic nomination, becoming the first black woman and first Asian-American to lead a major-party ticket.

As Mark Cuban joins the efforts behind the Harris campaign, expect a lot of action in the leadup to the presidential elections later this year.
