Mark Cuban keeps anti-Donald Trump agenda aside, shows concern over Ohio migrant allegedly eating cat meat
When Mark Cuban isn't busy rooting for the Dallas Mavericks as a minority owner, he remains an active voice regarding political and social issues, especially regarding former President Donald Trump. On September 14, he voiced his concerns about a troubling post involving an Ohio migrant who allegedly consumes cat meat.
The concerning issue was highlighted in a post on X (formerly Twitter) by City Journal's Christopher F. Rulo. Following the post, Cuban responded by urging Rufo to ensure that the responsible individuals were reported to the authorities.
"It is illegal to consume dog or cat meat," Cuban posted. Please let us know that you turned over the individuals involved to the authorities and the action they undertook to prosecute!"
According to Rufo, these are individuals who are African migrants residing in Dayton, Ohio. This issue was brought up by Trump during the presidential debate with the U.S. VP Kamala Harris. He highlighted the issue of foreign immigrants in Springfield allegedly eating dog and cat meat.
However, the claim was debunked at the time by other journalists and Springfield resident Erika Lee, who shared the original report. She revealed that it was in fact a doctored post after claiming that Haitian immigrants took an interest in consuming the meat of dogs and cats, as reported by The Hill's Filip Timotija.
Meanwhile, this latest report by Rufo aimed to further investigate the matter by getting into contact with the author of the video and asking within the neighborhood about the individuals in question.
Given the gravity of the issue, Mark Cuban wanted proper action and involvement of the authorities. The situation goes beyond simply choosing a side between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential elections.
Cuban has voiced out his stance when it came to Trump on X, which was the case with some of his previous posts below.
"Trump inherited a great economy. When we needed him to step up and lead, like during the riots, he wanted to shoot them. He inflamed all situations. When Covid hit, he tried, and did deliver the vax ... And then he tried to force pence to overturn the election. This alone disqualifies him." Mark Cuban posted on X.
Following Cuban's X post, he didn't receive a response from Rufo.
Mark Cuban argued that Donald Trump "would be a lousy president"
In a response to an X comment, Mark Cuban gave his honest assessment of Donald Trump.
"I don't truly hate him at all," Cuban said. "I just think he was and would be a lousy president. If he wasn't running, I would be happy to take up his dinner invitation from when he was in office. How do you think interest rates are set? Which of your tax rates have changed?"
He has criticized Trump numerous times on his X handle by citing his current platforms and highlighting his shortcomings during his previous tenure.
Despite being a vocal critic, he argued that it stems from his track record and how he remains the individual back then who was in the presidential seat.
