Mark Cuban stumps Donald Trump's supporters over presidential candidate involving family members in his businesses
Aside from being one of the most notable owners in the NBA, Mark Cuban is most known for his work in the business sector. While posting about the upcoming presidential election on social media, he posed an interesting question to the supporters of one candidate.
After losing the 2020 election, former president Donald Trump is running again in 2024. Similar to Cuban, he has had an extensive career in the business world.
Along with being an entrepreneur, Mark Cuban has been known to invest in countless different ventures. For 12 years, he has been one of the faces of the hit business show "Shark Tank." In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Cuban asked Trump supporters to explain why the former president only invests in companies run by his family members.
On "Shark Tank," Cuban has heard thousands of pitches from entrepreneurs across the country. He's gone on to invest in a decent amount of these companies to help grow them at a larger scale.
Aside from his investment work, Cuban is still a key member of the Dallas Mavericks organization. Last year, he sold some of his stake in the team and became a minority owner. After reaching the NBA Finals last year, the new-look squad will be looking to contend again in 2024-25.
Mark Cuban thinks life will be easier for Klay Thompson on the Dallas Mavericks
Coming off a run to the finals, the Dallas Mavericks brought in multiple new faces this offseason. Among the biggest was Klay Thompson, who was acquired from the Golden State Warriors via a sign-and-trade.
Thompson was a big talking point for the Warriors last season following a slight dip in his production. However, Mark Cuban feels the change of scenery will be good for him.
Last week, Cuban, while joining Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart on their "Roommates Show" podcast, among the things brought up was the Mavericks' acquisition of Thompson. When talking about the move, Cuban said that he feels playing alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving will help Thompson.
"Just catch and shoot from Luka and Ky," Cuban said. "Hopefully, his life is going to be a lot easier. We'll be able to defend, make shots and have a lot of depth."
At one point, Thompson was among the league's top shooting guards. However, a series of injuries in 2020 and 2021 derailed his career. He's not the player he once was, but Thompson has managed to return and still be a productive player. Last season for the Warriors, he averaged 17.9 points while shooting 38.7% from beyond the arc.
