"Maybe Darvin Ham was right": Lakers fans rue Taurean Prince absence as he leads league in 3-pt percentage

Taurean Prince has seen considerable game time so far with the Milwaukee Bucks. While this may seem due to the injury absence of star player Khris Middleton, fans are attributing it to the influence of former Lakers head coach and now Bucks assistant Darvin Ham.

During his time with the Purple and Gold, Taurean Prince usually started ahead of Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves. He then left to join the Bucks and a post by the fan page "Legion Hoops" on X shows that the forward is enjoying life with his new team, something some Lakers fans don't seem too happy about.

"Taurean Prince is leading the entire NBA in three-point shooting percentage (54.2%).What a pickup for Milwaukee," Legion Hoops wrote.

Fans on social media had their say on Prince's stats. One fan on X said that Darvin Ham might have had a point when he favored Prince over the other Lakers wings last season.

Another group of fans believed that he wasn't good enough for the Lakers. While in LA, he shot 39.6% from the three-point line, compared to the 54.2% he is currently on with the Bucks.

"why can’t these bums do it in a lakers uniform tho? lights too bright," a fan wrote.
"Wasn’t close to that for the Lakers," another fan added.
"on 3.6 attempts per game yes. Another example of players not being able to handle the bright lights. Which is why players like Rui, Gabe, JHS, etc should actually have more trade value because we all know when they leave the lakers they WILL perform better."
"He couldn’t do this on the lakers," a fan wrote.
"Mfs leave the lakers and all of a sudden get their talent back," another fan added.

Taurean Prince's move to Milwaukee turned out to be a wonderful addition for the Bucks. Aside from being an ideal replacement for Middleton, he has elevated their offense with his off-ball shooting.

What next for Taurean Prince and the Milwaukee Bucks?

Taurean Prince is averaging 8.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, and 1.9 apg for the Milwaukee Bucks this season while playing in 27.1 minutes per game. The Bucks seem to have fixed their poor start to the season and are now sixth in the Eastern Conference standings.
