Denver Nuggets vs Miami Heat Game Player Stats and Box Scores for March 13, 2024

The 2023 NBA Finals rivals were back at it again as the Miami Heat faced the Denver Nuggets. The last time these two teams met, it was the Nuggets who came out on top. The Heat are now looking to redeem themselves in this interconference matchup.

During the first quarter, the Denver Nuggets established a seven-point lead, with Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon leading the charge. Jokic led his team with seven points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal. Gordon also contributed to scoring with seven points.

Come the second quarter, Terry Rozier tried to keep the game within reach for the Miami Heat after cutting the lead down to four by putting up a total of 10 points, three rebounds and two assists to end the half.

Micahel Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray, on the other hand, did everything in their power to remain on top before halftime. Porter Jr. led the Nuggets with 15 points and four rebounds. As for Murray, he added 10 points.

Denver Nuggets fend off Miami Heat to win season series 2-0

Come the second half of the game, the Miami Heat did everything in their power to stay in the game. Bam Adebayo took charge of the team with a double-double performance adding 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Adebayo also delivered on the defensive end of the court with a steal and a block. Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier also contributed in the scoring column with Butler having 15 points and Rozier with 14 points. Unfortunately, their offense was outmatched by the Nuggets.

As the game progressed in the second half, Nikola Jokic surprisingly took a backseat in scoring. The "Joker" ended up with 12 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and one steal.

It was Michael Porter Jr. who took care of the majority of the Denver Nuggets' offense after scoring 25 points matched with seven rebounds. His efforts, with the help of Jamal Murray (14 points) and Aaron Gordon (16 points), helped the Nuggets secure a 100-88 victory.
