Michael Jordan’s $14.8m Chicago mansion finally finds a buyer after 12 years: Report

Back in 1995, Michael Jordan had a house built for himself in a suburb outside of Chicago. After over a decade of trying to sell the property, reports suggest that the six-time champion has finally found a buyer.

On Tuesday afternoon, TMZ reported that Jordan's estate is off the market and listed as contingent. As long as all the proper conditions are the met, the two sides will progress forward with the sale.

When Jordan first put the house up for sale, he wanted $29 million for it. However, after years of not finding a buyer, he dropped the price drastically. The house was most recently listed at around $14.8 million.

"The property is located in Highland Park, Illinois ... and it's got a bunch of amenities, including the iconic No. 23 gate, nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a cigar room, a library, an indoor gym, and of course, a full-sized basketball court."

The house also has some notoritery in the hip-hop world, as it was once featured in a music video. Jordan's iconic No. 23 gate can be seen in the video for Travis Scott's song "Franchise."

It's been a long road for the Chicago Bulls legend and this house, but it seems it might be finally coming to an end.

Longtime NBA guard sides with Michael Jordan in the GOAT debate

Long after his career ended, Michael Jordan still finds himself front and center in the GOAT debate. Earlier this week, one longtime NBA guard explained why he sides with “His Airness” over LeBron James as the greatest ever.

While on Mark Jackson’s podcast, Muggsy Bogues shared his thoughts on the two NBA icons. When it came to comparing the two, he felt MJ was the clear choice. When breaking down his reasoning, Bogues cited that Jordan was extremely fundamentally sound as a basketball player.

“When it comes to the game of basketball, and the skill set of the game of basketball, that’s where it separates,” Bogues said. “From a guy like MJ to a guy like LeBron. In terms of the skill set. Michael had no deficiencies. He was one of the most fundamentally sound guys to ever play the game.”

Standing at 5-foot-3, Bogues is one of the shortest layers to ever step foot in the NBA. He also got to witness Michael Jordan’s greatness up close, playing in the league from 1988 to 2001.

Despite being incredibly undersized, Bogues managed to hang around the NBA for nearly 15 years. He suited up for multiple teams in his career, but spent the majority of his time with the Charlotte Hornets. Following a decade-long run with the franchise, he played for the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors before retiring.

In roughly 900 career games, Bogues averaged 7.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 7.6 assists.
