Game 2 went the way of the Timberwolves, who prevaled 117-93 over the Warriors. Julius Randle went off for 24 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists while Anthony Edwards and Nickeil Alexander-Walker contributed 20 points apiece. A Game 3 win would restore homecourt advantage back to Minnesota, while a 2-1 series lead for the Warriors could afford Curry some more time to recover.

The tightly contested affair on Saturday was won by the Timberwolves, who carved out a 102-97 victory. Edwards exploded for 36 points on 13-for-28 shooting, along with four rebounds, four assists, and one block. Julius Randle had a triple-double performance with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists, while Jaden McDaniels added 15 points, six rebounds, one steal, and two blocks.

Jimmy Butler had 33 points and Jonathan Kuminga chipped in 30 from the bench for the Warriors. On a night when big men Draymond Green and Kevon Looney fouled out in the second half, Golden State was outrebounded by Minnesota 44-36.

The first half of this game was a close encounter. Despite Randle and Edwards having prolific outputs, the Warriors held their own as Jonathan Kuminga stepped up to help Butler carry the scoring load. At the end of the first 24 minutes, Golden State held on to a precarious 42-40 lead.

Though both teams cranked up the intensity on offense in the second half, Minnesota finally began to pull away in the last two minutes of regulation. Thanks to crucial offensive rebounds and clutch baskets from Edwards and Jaden McDaniels, the Timberwolves pulled off hard-fought five-point win.
