Minnesota could not seem to miss even if it tried to in the third quarter. The T-Wolves erupted for 52 points while limiting the Grizzlies to 25 to carry a 119-97 lead before the fourth quarter started.

Minnesota's near flawless shooting from deep, where they made 7 of 8 3-pointers in the third quarter opened up the paint. Once the Grizzlies defense spread, the Timberwolves pounded the paint with impunity. The final score did not tell the full tale of the visiting team's dominance.

The Timberwolves, led by Anthony Edwards' 44 points, cruised to a comfortable 145-125 win.

The Minnesota Timberwolves capped off a five-game road swing with a crucial showdown against the Memphis Grizzlies. Neck and neck in the battle for an outright playoff berth, the result of Thursday's game would likely have playoff implications for both teams.

The Timberwolves raced to a 21-13 lead midway through the first quarter behind 5-for-8 efficiency from rainbow distance. Anthony Edwards' 13 points in nine minutes helped the visiting team to a 37-31 lead.
