"Minus the bulls*** life's great" - Damian Lillard shares adorable picture of his children playing in pool

Damian Lillard said on several occasions this season that the biggest adjustment he had to make wasn’t on the basketball court. After 11 years with the Portland Trail Blazers, he was sent to Milwaukee after reportedly asking the team to trade him. “Dame Time” claimed that being away from his kids was what he struggled with more than anything basketball.

Lillard’s 2023-24 campaign with the Bucks ended following their 120-98 loss to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. During his exit interview, he told the media that he had a blast with his new team but greatly missed his children.

On Tuesday, Damian Lillard shared a story on Instagram where he can be seen spending quality time with his twins, daughter Kali and son Kalii. He captioned the post with:

Lillard is in the middle of a bitter divorce with his wife Kay’La Lillard, who reportedly wants full custody of their three children. Lillard’s former college sweetheart has accused him of playing the father only for social media clips. She claimed in one of her court documents that the NBA star spends only a few hours with their children. For the most part, she insisted that she had been the one making decisions for the kids.

The custody battle, which was supposed to happen in November last year, was moved to another date following Damian Lillard’s request. Lillard’s legal team used the basketball star’s busy schedule as the reason for the postponement.

For now, the Milwaukee Bucks star is spending quality time with his children.

Damian Lillard brought his children to the 2024 NBA All-Star Game

During the 2024 All-Star weekend, Damian Lillard brought along with him his kids. Their presence was probably why he had an impressive outing during that time. Lillard won the 3-point shooting contest before grabbing the MVP award.

After the game, Lillard’s daughter Kali, who was holding a disposable camera, asked to take a picture of him. The newly-named All-Star MVP didn’t hesitate to oblige and gamely posed for photos. His son, Kalii, Kali’s twin, watched the entire sequence.

"Dame Time" had a historic All-Star weekend with incredible performances that had the fans going wild. However, it was his time with his kids that he said was more important to him.

Lillard wasn’t selected to play in the Olympics with Team USA. He will have roughly two more months to spend with his children before training camp opens.
