"Most money hungry company I've ever seen" - Flightreacts rages as NBA 2K25 announces pre-order before putting out trailerĀ

While NBA 2k25 is set to release on Sept. 6, the company has yet to release a trailer for the game. Despite that, the game is now available for pre-order, leaving many, including content creator Flightreacts, confused and frustrated. By putting the game up for preorder without a trailer, 2k appears to be putting the buck before the horse so to speak.

Considering that year after year, fans have continued to express their frustration with 2k for prioritizing microtransactions rather than gameplay experience, the latest move hasn't gone over well with fans.

On the heels of their announcement earlier this week that Jayson Tatum, A'ja Wilson, and Hall of Famer Vince Carter were all cover athletes for the new game, 2k announced preorder bundles.

Like in years past, there are a number of different preorder bundles available, however, many fans seem hesitant to preorder the game without a gameplay trailer.

While speaking on a recent stream, content creator Flightreacts called out the company for releasing NBA 2k25 preorder bundles without giving fans a glimpse of gameplay.

"Look at this d**n company, bro. How the h**l y'all gonna get us to try and pre-order the game? You haven't even shown a f*****g trailer, bro. Like, this is the most money hungry company I've ever seen.
"How dare you even put a pre-order offer and there hasn't even been a trailer out. n****s threw some screenshots up and leaked the cover ... Bro. You gotta be kidding me, bro."

Looking at the NBA 2k25 pre-order details, and various editions of the game

This year, there will be four different variations of NBA 2k25 for fans.

The first is the standard edition, which comes with the standard game as well as some minor perks such as VC and MyTeam promo packs. This version of the game is priced at $69.99 for consoles and PC, and $59.99 on Nintendo Switch, and features Jayson Tatum as the cover athlete.

Fans can also pre-order the WNBA edition of NBA 2k25, which will feature two-time WNBA champion A'ja Wilson on the cover. This edition of the game will feature the same perks as the standard edition for those who preorder or purchase before Oct. 17 and will be released at the same price.

For fans who want a different cover, and more pre-order bonuses, the NBA 2k25 All-Star edition will feature both Tatum and Wilson on the cover. This version of the game is priced at $99.99 on all consoles, and comes with a slew of pre-order bonuses such as 100,000 VC and ten MyTeam player cards.

Last, but certainly not least, fans can also purchase the Hall of Fame edition of NBA 2k25, which features Vince Carter as the cover athlete. This edition of the game will come with all of the same pre-order perks as the All-Star edition, along with several other in-game rewards.

The biggest difference with the Hall of Fame edition is that it also notably includes a 12-month NBA League Pass subscription and a Season 1 Pro Pass for the MyPlayer section of the game.
