PJ Washington started dating Chanel a few months after breaking up with his former girlfriend, Brittany Renner, in 2021. The Mavericks forward proposed to the Instagram influencer in August 2022 while she was pregnant with their son, Preston, whom they welcomed in December 2022.
The couple got married in October 2023 in a ceremony that featured a ton of bling and white roses surrounding the altar.

PJ Washington concluded the 2023-24 NBA season having made it to the final stage of the league for the first time in his career with the Dallas Mavericks. Though the Mavericks fell short in the NBA finals against the Boston Celtics, Washington's contribution to the team may well be one of the key reasons for it making it so far into the playoffs.
Washington consistently put up efficient performances for the team, averaging 13.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 42.7% from the field, including 34.8% from the field in their postseason run. His wife, Alisah Chanel, was seen cheering for her husband from the sidelines in the playoff games, which may have contributed to his efficiency.
