"My real fans respect my family" - Giannis Antetokounmpo humbly defends himself after fan calls him out over denied photo request

A Milwaukee Bucks fan posted a short rant against star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo on Facebook. According to the fan, he asked Giannis for a photo but the star forward declined because he was with his family. Because of this incident, the fan called the Bucks' star bogus and then said that Damian Lillard is his new favorite player.

This post caught the attention of Giannis, who posted a response on his Instagram story. Giannis included a screenshot of the post along with a statement briefly explaining why he didn't indulge the fan's request.

The IG story is no longer available, but this is what Giannis said:

"If you were a real fan, in the first place, you would respect when I'm with my family. My real fans respect my family too!"

The fan who posted this rant on Facebook also took a screenshot of it and reposted it to his personal IG account. Aside from tagging Giannis Antetokounmpo, he also tagged the NBA, Adam Silver and Damian Lillard. However, none of these people have responded.

How many children does Giannis Antetokounmpo have?

Giannis Antetokounmpo got married to Mariah Riddlespringer this past summer and together, they have three children.

Their first son, Liam, was born in 2020. He has been spotted cheering on his father in some of his games including when the Greek Freak and the Bucks won a title in 2021.

When long-time Bucks announcer announcer Jim Paschke told Antetokounmpo that he was retiring because his son requested him to, Antetokounmpo gave a touching response.

According to Antetokounmpo, if Liam asked him when he was going to retire to play more games with him, he would retire on the spot.

Giannis and Mariah's second kid was born in Aug. 2021 and is named Maverick Shai. Maverick, 3-years-old, has also been seen at Bucks games.

Their third and youngest child also happens to be their only daughter so far. Eva Brooke was born in Sept. 2023. On her birthday around a month ago, Antetokounmpo and Riddlesprigger made an IG post where they called her their little princess. The post also featured an image of her already playing on the basketball court with one of her brothers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is a known family man. Aside from his wife and his kids, he also often spends time with his brothers.

In fact, his brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo has gained some fame as one of his biggest supporters.
