NBA 2K25 promotor Ronnie issues major warning to fans about circulating player ratings

The NBA 2K25 ratings are already circulating on social media. However, according to its promotor, Ronnie, the ratings for the players have not been officially released by NBA 2K.

He took to his X account to warn the fans about the ratings being circulated. He also clarified that only the released ratings for rookies are official at this point.

“Outside of Rookies, no ratings have been released. So trust fake ratings and alleged rating sites at your own risk!" Ronnie wrote on X.

On Monday morning, Legion Hoops' X account reported that OKC Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander already has his rating.

Moreover, 2Kratings.com released the player ratings for NBA 2K25, which is also not a website officially affiliated with NBA 2K. NBA 2K25 is set to be released globally on September 6.

The highest rookie rating of 75 in NBA 2K25 highlights the weakness of the 2024 NBA Draft

NBA 2K25 has released the ratings for some of this year's rookies and the numbers are lower as compared to previous draft classes.

The No. 1 overall pick, Zaccharie Risacher, will start with a 75 rating which is already the highest among 2024-25 rookies. He played two games in the Summer League and averaged 14.5 points on 39.3 percent shooting from the field.

Stephon Castle, the fourth pick from the San Antonio Spurs is ranked second with a 73 rating. He played just one game in the Summer League and scored 22 points on 38.1 percent field goal shooting. No. 10 pick Cody Williams of the Utah Jazz has a rating of 71.

Jared McCain of the Philadelphia 76ers, and Ryan Dunn of the Phoenix Suns, are rated 70 while Oso Ighodaro, also from the Suns and 40th overall pick, was given a 68 rating.

One of the biggest names missing from the initial ratings list was Alex Sarr. The second overall pick played four Summer League games and averaged 5.5 points per game, on 19.1 percent from the field, including 11.8 percent from the 3-point line.

In comparison, Paolo Banchero and Victor Wembanyama, the top picks of the last two drafts, received 78 and 84 ratings, respectively, in their NBA2K debuts.
