NBA analyst claims Kyrie Irving knows Brooklyn Nets have been trying to trade him over past few weeks
Sports analyst Bill Simmons claimed that the Brooklyn Nets are trying to trade Kyrie Irving. Simmons never officially reported on it, but he did make these statements on "The Bill Simmons Podcast." He and former NBA star Raja Bell discussed Irving's current situation in the league and where he could end up after the ongoing trade talks.
According to Simmons, Irving has no takers despite Brooklyn's efforts to get rid of him. Bell pointed out that it could likely be due to "Uncle Drew" being unpredictable off the court. Without a doubt, Irving is still in his prime. But his talent won't matter if he's going to constantly stir up drama. A player's drama can greatly affect his team as well.
Simmons said:
"I don't know what Kyrie's end game is and I'm not sure if there is one. But I do know the Nets have tried to trade him for the last few weeks and I think he probably knows. I think it's pretty well known around the league there's no takers."
Bell responded:
"It's incredible to even wrap my mind around that from the perspective of his talent being so in its prime. You're dealing with two things, one causing the other. You are completely unpredictable, I have no idea what you're going to do. Therefore, I can't trust you. When you can't be predicted or can't be trusted, you're out of the league."
Kevin Durant said last Sunday that the Brooklyn Nets locker wasn't affected by Irving's recent actions. Durant even had the audacity to point fingers at everybody else outside of their locker room. After hearing what Bill Simmons had to say about Kyrie Irving's situation with the Nets, Durant's statements might be false.

The Brooklyn Nets' catastrophe
It's clear that things aren't going so well for the Brooklyn Nets. Ben Simmons is having the worst season of his career. With the addition of Simmons, the Nets were hoping to have a better season compared to their last. But that has not been the case so far.
The Brooklyn Nets currently have a 2-6 record after their most recent 108-99 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday. This was the first game the team played after parting ways with former coach Steve Nash. Prior to the Bulls matchup, the management decided to fire Nash because of the team's poor start.
Kyrie Irving was recently accused of antisemitism and has stirred up drama once again. Irving performed poorly against the Bulls on Tuesday, scoring only four points and shooting 2 of 12 from the field. While there isn't any evidence, this could be a sign of Irving cracking from all the ruckus.
With all of that said, it'll be difficult for the Brooklyn Nets to bounce back from their current slump. Hopefully a miracle happens for the team sooner rather than later.
