NBA analyst hopes Luka Doncic doesn’t turn to “dramatic limping and incessant bi*ching” in NBA Finals

NBA analyst Jason Timpf has a special request for the Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic on Twitter. Doncic and the Mavs are fresh off their Game 3 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. They are now just one win away from their first NBA Finals appearance since 2011.

Tempf suggested that, as things might be more difficult in the Finals against Jayson Tatum & Co., he does not want Luka Doncic to focus on anything but his game.

“I love this part of Luka’s game. I just hope if things go south against Boston it doesn’t turn into a bunch of dramatic limping and incessant bitching at the refs,” he tweeted.

The Mavericks only need to win one more game, while the Timberwolves are trailing 3-0 in the series. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in league history.

The Timberwolves will need a tremendous effort to prevent the Mavericks from reaching the Finals. If they fail, the Mavericks will likely face the Boston Celtics, who are also leading 3-0 in the Eastern Conference finals against the Pacers.

Doncic has been flawless in the postseason for the Mavericks thus far, who will need him at his very best if and when they take on the Boston Celtics.

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have emerged as the best duo in the NBA this season

There is little doubt that the Mavs' postseason success can be attributed in large part to their two finest players, Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

The Slovenian has averaged 32.6 points, 8.6 assists and 7.6 rebounds per game against the Timberwolves in the conference finals series. He has averaged 28.3 points and nine rebounds per game in the postseason thus far and has benefited from Irving’s presence, which allows Doncic to play more freely.

Irving, on the other hand, is on a mission to win his second NBA title since 2016, when he led the Cavaliers alongside LeBron James to the title against the Golden State Warriors.

Irving averaged 27.6 points per game against the Timberwolves and has produced 22.4 per game in the postseason thus far. The two players also produce regular looks for each other and have eased scoring pressure from the rest of the team.

While an NBA Finals appearance seems more likely, the Dallas Mavericks know that they will have a much sterner test when they potentially take on the Celtics.
