NBA analyst reveals 2 possible dates for Kevin Durant's return amid speculation
Kevin Durant is on track to make his debut as a member of the Phoenix Suns soon, and experts have already revealed possible dates for his return. Durant is rehabbing an MCL sprain, which he suffered while playing against the Miami Heat.
ESPN's Brian Windhorst said the 13-time All-Star could have a five-on-five workout this week.
"There's a desire for him to get a 5v5 live contact workout tomorrow," Windhorst said.
Aside from giving an update on Durant's workout status, Windhorst also gave two possible dates on when the superstar might return to action.
"Within Durant's camp and within the team, there's an expectation that Sunday's game in Milwaukee... Or next week they play in Charlotte as part of a long road trip, could be, more likely than Friday against the Thunder," Windhorst said.
Durant was traded at the deadline to Phoenix for Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Jae Crowder and multiple future first-round picks.
If the reports are right, Durant could make his home debut later, that is if the reports are right and the star forward won't be available on Friday, February 24. Once the Suns start their road trip, the two-time Finals MVP could make his home debut on March 8.
KD made it known in the offseason that he wanted to play for the Suns when he requested a trade. Chris Paul and Devin Booker, who have both played alongside the 6-foot-10 forward on separate Olympic runs, aren't the only connections he has in Phoenix. Coach Monty Williams spent some time as an assistant coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder during Durant's stay.
Now that he's with the Suns, the only thing that's missing for the team and city is the title.
