NBA broadcaster trolls Kyle Kuzma's Lakers title, dubbing it as 'Disney World championship"

NBA broadcaster Drew Carter made fun of Kyle Kuzma's 2020 championship win. During the Boston Celtics' game against the Washington Wizards this week, the broadcasters briefly talked about the key matchup featuring Kuzma and Jayson Tatum.

As the broadcasters talked about both stars, Drew Carter pointed out that both Kyle Kuzma and Jayson Tatum were champions. However, Carter couldn't help but bring up the fact that "Kuz" won it in Disney World, which was where the 2020 NBA Finals took place.

"[Kyle] Kuzma does have a championship," Carter said. "But as our pre-game show pointed out the other night, it was a Disney World championship."

Regardless of where and when Kyle Kuzma won his first ring, he has the coveted prize that many NBA stars chase.

In 2020, things were put on hold after the infamous coronavirus spread across the globe. People worldwide were asked to lock themselves in their homes to prevent the virus from spreading. However, the NBA requested to continue operations in a safer environment, far from putting anyone else at risk.

This resulted in the "NBA Bubble," held in Orlando at Disney World. The majority of the teams opted to participate and continue the 2019-20 NBA season. But given how some teams weren't present, it was like a new season with no momentum for the teams.

Ultimately, it came down to the LA Lakers against the Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA finals. A lot was at stake for the Lakers at the time. Before the global pandemic, Laker legend Kobe Bryant passed away from a tragic helicopter crash. Winning another title for Kobe would have been a perfect ending to a horrific season.

The Lakers triumphed as they beat the Heat 4-2, winning their 17th championship. However, many fans and analysts believe the title shouldn't count given the circumstances. Some dubbed their title as a "Mickey Mouse ring."

While the world was burning down in the background, the Purple and Gold managed to maintain their focus and keep their eyes on the prize. Their achievement isn't as easy as many believe it to be.
