NBA games today on TV (17th March 2023): Which games will be televised today?
The NBA brings basketball fans eight exciting games to watch tonight.
The schedule starts with a matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Charlotte Hornets at 7:00 PM ET. The match between the Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks, which will be nationally televised, will tip-off at 7:30 PM ET.
Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse hosts the next game featuring the visiting Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Minnesota Timberwolves versus the Chicago Bulls and then the New Orleans Pelicans against the Houston Rockets will follow suit.
The Memphis Grizzlies, minus Ja Morant, will take on the San Antonio Spurs in Texas before the Boston Celtics visit the Portland Trail Blazers.
The night ends with a marquee matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and LA Lakers, which starts at 10:30 PM ET. The game will be aired nationally via NBA TV.
All matches can also be accessed via the NBA League Pass.
The injury-riddled Golden State Warriors hope to end a nine-game road losing streak against the Atlanta Hawks
The defending NBA champs haven’t looked like their usual selves this season. They are 7-27 away from Chase Center, tied for third-worst in the entire league.
Tonight’s task of beating the Atlanta Hawks will be even tougher without the suspended Draymond Green. The charismatic forward earned his 16th technical foul against the LA Lakers Wednesday night and will be suspended versus the Hawks.
Andre Iguodala, Andrew Wiggins and Gary Payton II will not be suiting up for the Bay Area team as well. Steph Curry has also been ruled questionable due to a sore left thumb. The two-time NBA MVP exploded for 50 points against the LA Clippers last Wednesday but could miss tonight’s game due to the said injury.
NBA TV will cover the game live nationally while Bally Sports Atlanta and NBC Sports Bay Area will air the game locally.
The Dallas Mavericks and the LA Lakers hope to improve their playoff aspirations when they cross paths tonight
The Dallas Mavericks (35-35), who are in eighth place in the Western Conference, are just one game ahead of the LA Lakers (34-36). Dallas will be without the injured Luka Doncic while LA will play without LeBron James.
The Lakers, however, have more depth and are playing on their home court. Anthony Davis is probable but is expected to play. Should the Lakers win, they would tie the Mavericks’ record and also even the season series at two games apiece.
Kyrie Irving is questionable due to a sore right foot. If he can’t play tonight, the Mavericks will be facing an uphill battle to beat the home team.
NBA TV will feature the game nationally while Spectrum SportsNet and Bally Sports Dallas will cover it locally.
Other NBA games
The match between the Washington Wizards and the Cleveland Cavaliers should be an enticing one. Washington is desperately clinging to the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-37 record.
After the Indiana Pacers (32-38) upset the Milwaukee Bucks last night, the Wizards’ lead has dropped to just half a game. It’s safe to say that the Washington Wizards will be going all out to win this game.
The Cleveland Cavaliers (44-28), meanwhile, have a 2.5-game advantage over the New York Knicks (41-30) for the fourth spot in their conference. Cleveland will be looking to keep that cushion to possibly get home-court advantage in the playoffs.
Bally Sports Ohio and NBC Sports Washington will air the game live locally.
