The Toronto Raptors will face the Milwaukee Bucks on national TV

The 35-36 Toronto Raptors are 9th in the Eastern Conference. They’re just three games ahead of the Indiana Pacers (32-39) who are in the 11th spot.

The Raptors are on a three-game winning streak after losing their previous three. Toronto is hoping to string together more wins and barge into the top six in the East standings for an outright playoff berth.

Standing in their way tonight are the Milwaukee Bucks, owners of the NBA’s best record with a 50-20 win-loss slate. The Bucks are coming off a surprising and embarrassing loss to the Indiana Pacers. They could be looking to vent their frustrations in their next game, which happens to be against the Raptors.

An added incentive for the Bucks is to get the best record in the entire league and gain home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. This is the game the NBA will be highlighting tonight on national TV.

Every NBA game tonight has playoff implications

Regardless of which game NBA fans want to watch, they’re sure to get at least one team going all out for a win. Among tonight’s participants, only the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets have nothing to play for except pride.

The Orlando Magic vs LA Lakers game will be interesting, particularly for LA Nation. LA has lost back-to-back games, the second one an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks. Maxi Kleber’s buzzer-beating three-pointer capped off the Mavs’ frenetic rally in the last minute of the game.

The loss dropped the Lakers' record to 34-37, which is 11th in the Western Conference and currently outside the play-in picture. Another defeat will bring them a step down and closer than ever to outright elimination.

What Lakers fans should root for tonight:
Lakers WIN over Magic
Thunder lose to Suns
Pelicans lose to Rockets
Clippers lose to Blazers

The Phoenix Suns' matchup against the OKC Thunder will be another game worth watching. Phoenix still does not have former MVP Kevin Durant due to a sprained left ankle. They just lost Deandre Ayton to a right hip contusion.

With injuries piling up and a bench that’s considerably shallower after the Durant trade, they could easily slip further down the standings. They are still in fourth place with a 38-32 record but are three games ahead of the Golden State Warriors, who are currently the seventh seed.
