The Boston Celtics have the best record in the NBA, and they are still missing an important piece. Robert Williams III has not played this season after undergoing left knee surgery in the offseason. His expected recovery time is about eight to 12 weeks.

Celtics interim head coach Joe Mazzulla provided an update on Williams, who has started playing 3-on-3 drills. Mazzulla told the Boston Globe that they like what they are seeing from their star big man. The Celtics are also not worried about him fitting in with the team upon his return.

"We're happy with him as far as his progression and the work he's put in toward coming back," Mazzulla said. "He's picking it up on the court a little bit. ... He looks good. He's healthy and responding well to it. He's in a good space as far as patience, and he's doing the work he needs to do."
