The Thompson twins are regarded as two of the biggest 2023 NBA Draft prospects and NBA teams recognize that. Amen and Ausar Thompson currently play for Overtime Elite in the G-League.

Amen is averaging 16.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. He's regarded as an elite player on both sides of the court. Ausar Thompson might even be the better twin, averaging 16.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 2.4 steals, and over one block per game. That's one reason why they're both regarded as lottery picks in this year's NBA Draft.

The Thompson twins are already on multiple NBA teams' radar. The teams are ready to watch them go to work and hope that they can land them in this year's draft.

Thompson twins NBA interest

One of the teams interested in the Thompson twins is currently the Boston Celtics. They had their VP of basketball operations at the game to check out his play. It's unlikely that Boston will be able to land him due to them not being close to a lottery pick. However, there are ways for them to move up in the draft and possibly get a higher pick if they do so choose.

Similar to the Boston Celtics, the Cleveland Cavaliers are also out to watch Overtime Elite on Wednesday night. Similarly, the Cavaliers likely won't have a high enough draft pick to get close to acquiring one of these two players, either.

The Miami Heat are also at the game to watch the twins. While they have struggled a bit more than usual, they likely also won't have a high enough draft pick to acquire either of them in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The New York Knicks sent out their General Manager on Wednesday night to watch the Thompson twins. The Knicks do have the possibility of acquiring them if things do go their way. They have multiple draft picks and some young players that could intrigue teams.

The most obvious team watching the brothers is the Orlando Magic. They sent out their General Manager and their assistant General Manager to the game. Orlando has already done a great job in terms of their drafting and are hopeful that they can possibly continue adding to that with one of the twins.
