NBA Sixth Man of the Year (6th MOTY) Power Rankings featuring Norman Powell, Immanuel Quickley, and more | March 7, 2022-23 NBA Season

The 2022-23 NBA season is almost coming to a close, with the race for the Sixth Man of the Year getting tighter as well. There have been incredible performances from stars lately, and the candidates for the Sixth Man award didn't disappoint, either.

It is little more than a month before the season ends, and players are making a final push for their teams. However, there are other players who have fallen out of the race and are not likely to be considered strong candidates this year.

Here are this month's participants for the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award.

#5, Norman Powell

Norman Powell's veteran presence has helped the LA Clippers with their quest to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference. Due to him, the Clippers have one of the deepest bench units in the league.

The team is hoping he can recover quickly from his left shoulder injury and get back on the floor.

The Philadelphia 76ers have done an exceptional job this season, and Tyrese Maxey is one of the big reasons for that. With Maxey coming off the bench, the starters can comfortably rest.

The 6-foot-2 guard is projected to be a rising star, and there's no doubt about that now that he's a candidate to win the Sixth Man of the Year award.


#3, Immanuel Quickley

Immanuel Quickley has been an incredible help for the New York Knicks as they try to continue their nine-game winning streak. On Sunday against the Boston Celtics, he dropped 38 points in a 131-129, double-overtime win.

There's a lot to like about his game and Quickley could be of help in the playoffs.


#2, Bobby Portis

Bobby Portis has been shaky since coming back from an MCL sprain, and that has hurt his numbers over his last five games. Still, the Milwaukee Bucks have secured the top spot in the East.

Portis has done great and could win the Sixth Man of the Year award, which is why they're at the top right now.

Malcolm Brogdon's offseason acquisition has been the best move for the Boston Celtics, and it appears to be paying off. With him in the point guard position, the team has a stable presence for the secondary unit.

Brogdon has been in the race since the first edition of the Sixth Man of the Year tracker, and he has a legitimate chance of winning the award by the end of the season.
