"Needs to come and experience WWE" - Carmelo Anthony invited to Bad Blood by namesake superstar Carmelo Hayes

NBA legend Carmelo Anthony spoke about the WWE during the latest episode of his "7PM In Brooklyn" show alongside The Kid Mero and Kazeem Famuyide. During the show, the soon-to-be Hall of Famer shared his love for professional wrestling, highlighting just how unique the WWE is.

Anthony's comments caught the attention of WWE wrestler Carmelo Hayes, who has now invited Anthony to a WWE event. During a recent interview with "The Masked Man Show" last week, Hayes reacted to Carmelo Anthony being a massive WWE fan, saying that he didn't realize just how big of a fan Melo is.

Carmelo Anthony, however, is still a fan. Because of that, Carmelo Hayes believes that Melo needs to attend the upcoming Bad Blood event:

“I mean, I’m not gonna sell it to him right, but I think he needs to come and experience WWE today," Carmelo Hayes said. "We talk about it a lot, you can watch it on TV and get one perspective, but bro, you come to — you trying to tell me if he came to WrestleMania and watched Cody finish the story, he wouldn’t be a fan?
"You know what I’m saying? That hooked people. Tell him to come through to Atlanta for Bad Blood, where the vibes are just crazy. That’s where it’s like, you’ve gotta show somebody, you really can’t talk anybody into being a wrestling fan. They’ve got to experience it.”

NBA star Tyrese Haliburton makes another WWE appearance this month, could Carmelo Anthony be next?

As it turns out, Carmelo Anthony isn't the only NBA player who is a massive WWE fan. Early this summer, fans had a chance to see both Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Brunson make guest appearances at a WWE event.

Haliburton and the Pacers played Brunson and the Knicks in the postseason, however, the two guards then took their rivalry to the world of wrestling back in June.

During the ring entrances for a Money in the Bank qualifying match, where Haliburton was accompanying Logan Paul to the ring, he stopped to have a staredown with Brunson, who was sitting in the crowd.

The moment drew quite a reaction from the crowd. However, that wouldn't be Haliburton and Brunson's only run-in of the evening. Later in the match, when Haliburton was about to give Logan Paul a set of brass knuckles, Brunson intervened.

Then, Brunson jumped into the ring with a steel chair, leaving NBA fans concerned he might have injured his finger. The appearances of both Brunson and Haliburton were so well-received that the WWE featured Haliburton on their NXT program this month.

During his appearance, Haliburton took a shot at the Orlando crowd and their Magic team, while riling up the fans in attendance.

Given this, it will be interesting to see if Carmelo Anthony takes Carmelo Hayes up on his offer to attend a WWE event and whether the company gives him a cameo appearance.
