Netflix show 'Last Chance U' coach throws shade at Dwyane Wade for painted nails comment on Noah Lyles: "Gay like you"

Netflix show "Last Chance U" coach Jason Brown apparently threw shade at NBA legend Dwyane Wade for his "nails painted" comment about sprinting superstar Noah Lyles. Brown responded to Wade's X post that dared his followers to talk negatively about the world champion having painted fingernails.

"Gay like you," Brown wrote.

Dwyane Wade has also worn nail polish for the past several years, dating back to his days as an active NBA player. He seemingly used the opportunity of Noah Lyles wearing nail polish as he won the 100-meter dash event of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday, to shut down haters.

Several other of Wade's followers on X also reacted negatively to his post about the sprinter's nail polish. Many also highlighted one of Wade's children who identifies as transgender and made derogatory comments about them.

Dwyane Wade's wife Gabrielle Union has ultimate praise for Noah Lyles after dramatic 100m gold

Noah Lyles clinched his first Olympic gold on Sunday in one of the greatest 100-meter races in Olympic history after he won by a margin of a mere five-thousandth of a second. Dwyane Wade's wife Gabrielle Union shared the news on Instagram and said that she's eagerly waiting for Lyles' anticipated trash talk.

"I cannot wait for the sh*t this man will be talking! Oh they gonna be BIG mad," she wrote.

Union further carried her excitement to X as she reshared another post highlighting Lyles' remarkable victory.

Dwyane Wade's wife then gave props to Lyles' confidence as she replied to a post by Kyron Samuels who called his performance "generational".

"The level of pure joy I have in my heart. Wheeeewww bayBEEEEE he walked it like he talked it," she wrote.

Union also reacted to a post that featured Noah Lyles talking to the camera moments after winning the race.

"My new ringtone," she wrote.

Along with Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, many other big names from the NBA world also congratulated Noah Lyles after his win, including Magic Johnson and Josh Hart. Lyles was previously buzzing in the NBA world in August last year after he called out NBA teams for labeling themselves as world champions after winning the NBA title.

"You know the thing that hurts me the most?” he said. “I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have ‘world champion’ on their heads. World champion of what? The United States?
“Don’t get me wrong. I love the US at times. But that ain’t the world. That is not the world – we are the world."
"We have almost every country out here fighting, thriving, putting on their flag to show that they are represented. There ain't no flags in the NBA."

Noah Lyles' comments were not well received by the NBA community with many taking a hit at him. However, with his win on Sunday, Lyles has shut down many of the haters.
