Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders received enthusiastic applause while attending the New York Knicks’ 2024 Emirates NBA Cup quarterfinals game against the Atlanta Hawks. The son of Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders was spotlighted on the jumbotron, drawing cheers from the New York crowd.

Shedeur has been linked to the New York Giants, who are in contention for the top pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Giants GM Joe Schoen has reportedly visited Buffaloes practices and met with Coach Prime.

Unfortunately for Knicks fans, Trae Young led the Atlanta Hawks to victory at Madison Square Garden, eliminating the home team with a 108-100 win in the Emirates NBA Cup. Young scored 22 points and delivered 11 assists, continuing his reputation as a Knicks villain.

Adding to the drama, Young staged a postgame stunt by shooting dice on the Knicks logo, symbolizing the Hawks advancing to the Emirates NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas.

The Hawks will face the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday for a chance at the finals.

Shedeur Sanders talks about receiving inspiration from Kyrie Irving

With Shedeur Sanders expected to enter the NFL next season, he shared insights about a meeting with NBA star Kyrie Irving. Sanders connected with the Dallas Mavericks guard during the 2024 WNBA playoffs and said the interaction left a lasting impression.

"He has so much knowledge," Sanders said on his “2Legendary” podcast.
"He's done the majority of things I want to do in life so, I feel like surrounding yourself with those type of people and getting knowledge and learning from them will save you a lot of time, save you a lot of money and save you a lot of mental stress.”

Shedeur expressed excitement about the bond he formed with Irving, calling it a lifelong connection.

“I'm really excited I was able to meet him and I feel like that's a lifelong connection."
