Nick Wright on a special feat Kevin Durant has touched this season: “This might be the best Durant’s ever been
Kevin Durant led the Brooklyn Nets to their 12th straight win after defeating the San Antonio Spurs last night. As he continuously leads the team to wins, famed sports analyst Nick Wright shared a special feat that Durant has achieved this season from a shooting perspective.
Durant has been outstanding in the Nets' 2022-23 campaign, leading the team to an advantageous situation so far. Due to this, Wright broke down KD's shooting efficiency, which only he and a prime Michael Jordan have achieved:
"The story of the Nets' season right now, is Kevin Durant is having one of the most impossibly good shooting seasons in basketball history."
"Aside from top of the key threes, the guy is great from every zone on the court. He's shooting 62% on two's and less than 15% of his two's come at the rim. What he's doing from mid-range, honestly, has only been approached by prime [Michael] Jordan. That's the truth and he is doing it with a level of efficiency and his defense, I think right now, this might be the best Durant's ever been."
It's been known to fans in the NBA that Durant is deadly from mid-range. But this season, he's ramped up his effectiveness on the court by shooting lights out from mid-range. The Nets have been able to capitalize on his shooting strokes this season, turning their season around to make them a threat in the Eastern Conference.
This season, Durant's averaging 29.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists on 56.4% shooting from the field and 36.1% from long distance. KD's numbers have helped Brooklyn become one of the most entertaining teams to watch. The 2014 MVP could win his second MVP trophy if he keeps his high-level of play.

Chris Broussard believes in Kevin Durant and the Nets to win the title
At the start of their season, the Nets weren't favorites to win the NBA title due to the plethora of setbacks they've experienced. However, with Kevin Durant's brilliant play, Brooklyn could be one of the teams that will go after the Larry O'Brien trophy.
In this regard, famed sports analyst Chris Broussard doubled down on his belief that the Nets could potentially be title favorites. When asked if he thinks that the team are favored to win the title, Broussard had this to say:
"Well, they are title favorites... I expected this! I told you guys this would happen, I have not wavered. I've joked, I've had fun with the Nets. But I have never wavered for them being what they are."
With things going Brooklyn's way, it's hard to ignore them this season. They've been marvelous as a team, and KD is their on-court leader.
They'll try to get their 13th win in a row tomorrow night as they face the Chicago Bulls.
