Nika Muhl drops loving 2-word reaction to boyfriend Nahiem Alleyne as she cheers him on in Poland
On Saturday, Nika Muhl showed her support for her boyfriend Nahiem Alleyne during his game for Trefl Sopot, a Polish professional basketball team. Muhl posted an Instagram story during Sopot's game against GTK Gliwice in Poland. Alleyne's team won the game 88-77.
The victory improved Sopot's record to 10-4, placing them second in the Polish Basketball League. Alleyne contributed six points and three assists in the game.
Muhl pointed out Alleyne's decision to wear a headband, a stylistic change from the accessories he wore in college.
"Headband Naπ," Muhl wrote in an Instagram story.
Muhl recently completed her first season in the WNBA with the Seattle Storm. She and Alleyne attended the University of Connecticut. Alleyne was part of the national championship team in the 2022-23 season.
Alleyne has played six games with Trefl Sopot this season after a four-year collegiate career that saw him play for Virginia Tech, UConn and St. Johns. He and Muhl are rookies in their respective leagues, only beginning their professional journeys.
Nahiem Alleyne reacted to Nika Muhl's Instagram post in December
On Dec. 14, Nika Muhl posted about her offseason workouts, showing off her efforts to improve during the offseason between her rookie and sophomore years in the WNBA.
Alleyne was one of the many who commented on the post.
"Pressure makes diamonds π," he wrote.
Alleyne and Muhl had slower starts to their pro careers in their respective leagues. Alleyne is averaging 6.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in six games with Sopot in the EuroCup Basketball.
In the WNBA, Muhl averaged 0.1 ppg, 0.6 rpg and 0.4 apg in 16 appearances. Her first WNBA season was hampered by problems surrounding her work visa. The Croatian was unable to join the Storm until later in the year after her P1A visa was cleared.
