"No idea he had given her $25,000" - Laura Govan gets candid on Gilbert Arenas' alleged car moment with Draya Michele

Gilbert Arenas' ex, Laura Govan, appeared on an episode of Carlos King's podcast, "Reality With the King," and discussed her relationship with the former NBA star. She also opened up about Jalen Green's partner Draya Michele.

When King asked her about a story narrated by former NBA player Nick Young about Gilbert Arenas and Michele allegedly getting intimate, Govan said Michele was Arenas' "jump-off." "Jump-off" is a slang term used for a woman with whom one engages in casual relations.

Govan added that Michele came into her life through basketball. The two were part of the cast of the reality TV show Basketball Wives LA. Govan added that it was through some papers at her house that she found out about Arenas' alleged relationship with Michele.

“ [1:01:20] Draya was brought on to Basketball Wives... Guess what? I liked her. No idea she was Gilbert’s jump-off. I had no idea until I was going through some papers at the house and saw that he had given her $25,000 and brought her to LA.”

Govan also said that she beat Michele on the set of the TV show.

"[01:01:38] I remember calling my friend and telling her to pick up my kids for me... I remember going to Hollywood where she was filming downstreet. I remember showing up and I wasn't supposed to be filming. I walked passed everybody and I beat the fu*k out of her."

In March, Nick Young suggested that Gilbert Arenas and Draya Michele were getting intimate in the back seat of his car. Young did not give any more details of the alleged incident.

Gilbert Arenas has addressed the rumor of him being the father of Draya Michele's son

There were rumors swirling around that Gilbert Arenas was the father of Draya Michele's son Kniko. According to the International Business Times, Arenas took to social media to address the rumor in 2015.

In a since-deleted post on Instagram, Gilbert Arenas wrote that when he met the reality TV star, her son Kniko was already four years old.

"Draya's son was at least four years old when I met her and we were [cool] friends," Arenas explained in the Instagram post.

He also mentioned that Michele was participating in the reality TV show Basketball Wives LA on VH1. Arenas said that since the TV show was not paying her to move to California, he helped her relocate.

However, Arenas asked her not to use his name on TV. According to the former NBA player, Michele kept her promise.

"Draya was [cast], but since the show wasn't paying her to move to Cali to shoot and live, we came to an agreement. I thanks for for making a name for herself and not uses my name to pogo her career."

Gilbert Arenas wrote in the post that he wanted to address the story on the internet because Michele's son Kniko, who was 11 at the time, and his four kids would have gotten the news through the internet.

"I wouldn't have entertained the story but her son is 11 and my kids are 9,8,5,4 and they can access internet and sh*t like this floating around can have kids confused and it needed to stop," he mentioned.

According to Hotnewhiphop, Kniko's father is from her hometown. In a since-deleted post, Michele had written that Kniko's father was incarcerated when she was seven months pregnant.
