"No one can stop the beam"- NBA fans are buzzing as Steph Curry and Warriors secure 6th seed and set up matchup against Mike Brown and the Kings
Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors clinched the 6th seed on Sunday in a dominant 157-101 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Warriors now have some time to rest as they wait for the Play-In Tournament to commence. However, Steve Kerr might decide to spend their free time training for their first-round matchup against the Sacramento Kings.
Steph Curry got the job done once again on Sunday. He added 26 points, seven assists, and five rebounds in only 22 minutes of play. Kerr made the right call to bench his stars to let them rest for their upcoming playoff matchup.
The Kings have proven to be worthy contenders in the Western Conference this season. It will be the first time since 2006 that Sacramento has made the playoffs. Some NBA fans are excited to see them back in the postseason and have expressed their support on social media.

The matchup between Steph Curry's Warriors and De'Aaron Fox's Kings has NBA fans debating
The stage is now set for a first-round matchup between the defending champions Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings. While Sacramento remained one of the top teams in the West all season long, Golden State still has a slight advantage. Given how the Kings haven't been in the playoffs since 2006, the Warriors' experience will prove to be their best weapon in this matchup.
Golden State still have the four-time champs on their roster: Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson. The Warriors' big three dealt with some struggles earlier this year, however, it's undeniable that they can still deal a lot of damage on the court.
However, many NBA fans also believe that the Sacramento Kings have what it takes to dethrone the defending champs. But there's also no denying the Warriors fans as they show their support on social media. Fans are now debating and sharing their thoughts on what could happen in their first-round matchup:
@TD_LilJohn tweeted: "Warriors in 5 maybe 6 ! The kings been excellent this season but they not a playoff team or have enough experience to beat the warriors, it’s gonna be interesting & nice to see them in the playoffs they been balling this season. But let’s see how it goes !"
@_michelob_ tweeted: "11-30 on the road going to the best home court advantage in the league. Won’t be an easy lock for the Dubs"
@StevieWatsonPhD tweeted: "The Warriors in six. Too much playoff experience and perimeter shooting for the Warriors. If Wiggins is back and plays to his ability, then the team is much improved. Short commute between San Francisco and Sacramento also benefits a team with an older core like the Warriors."
@jtmurphy31 tweeted: "Kings. Something is wrong with the Warriors… I could be wrong though (that’s called covering your bases) #NBAPlayoffs"
@Wildchild911105 tweeted: "Warriors in 6 or 7, but we give them a run for their money.....I was in high school the last time I cared about Kings Basketball after New Years!!!!!! #LightTheBeam #BeamTeam #SacramentoProud"
