"Not as easy as I thought" - Larsa Pippen gets candid on dating life after divorce with Scottie Pippen
Larsa Pippen and her former husband, Scottie Pippen, filed for divorce in 2016. When the reality TV star and the Chicago Bulls legend decided to end their marriage, the social media influencer was full of hope. She hoped she and the basketball legend would do “what is best” for their four children with “love and respect.”
The Real Housewives of Miami Star also thought the dating game wouldn’t be difficult after splitting with the NBA legend. In a chat with Page Six, Larsa Pippen opened up about that hope following the divorce:
“I thought when I got divorced, I really thought it would be … not so hard to meet a person that I could be with. And I’m starting to realize … it’s not as easy as I thought it was going to be.”
Pippen added that trusting people and having potential boyfriends meet her kids was “just not as easy as I thought.” She also noted how her friends had become part guardians who would do background checks on somebody she would be interested in.
Scottie Pippen’s former wife of 19 years said:
“So that’s why you can’t meet random people because I feel like I will take you for face value. And then once my friends start to research you, they’re like, ‘He has no identity online … like, at all.’”
Larsa Pippen eventually had a highly publicized relationship with Marcus Jordan in 2023, but the two went their separate ways in March 2024.
Larsa Pippen aims to keep things private after publicly open relationship with Michael Jordan's son didn't work out
During their time together, Larsa Pippen's romance with Marcus Jordan became entertainment fodder. The two were very vocal about their relationship despite criticism due to the 16-year age gap. Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen's former teammate and Marcus' father, reportedly did not approve of the relationship.
The Instagram model was also very forthcoming with her intimate moments with her boyfriend, which only put the spotlight on them even more.
Scottie Pippen's wife has learned her lesson and said she plans to go the opposite way in the future:
“I’ve been trying to lay low. I think from my last relationship, it was so public that I think in this chapter of my life, I want to keep certain things to myself and not be so overly open because it just didn’t work out well for me, my last situation.”
In July, Larsa Pippen confirmed on Entertainment Tonight that she and the “Trophy Room” founder have not romantically reconciled.
